Joy is great with my boys, ages 8 and 6. She keeps them interested and engaged, and best of all she's fun and knows how to teach at their level. I'm impressed by her ability to redirect them if need be and keep them motivated. She taught my eldest Jingle Bells in one of his earliest lessons because he just had to know how to play it! The teaching environment is cheerful and upbeat. My kids really enjoy it.

Joy Rdzak started teaching our son Nick piano lessons when he was only 6 years old in 1990. What a great experience! Joy is enthusiastic, helpful, caring and makes learning fun. The year-end performances I will never forget with costumes and all! Preparing for this brought so much excitement. It was an honor to be a witness to that grand occasion. Since then, Nick has won many contests throughout the years and continues in his passion for playing the piano today, nearly twenty years later. I highly recommend Joy Rdzak. She is such a good teacher.

Oh my gosh, Joy is just the kind of piano teacher that I was looking for!! Joy is sooooooooo patient and always has that great big inviting smile. You can tell she loves teaching. And Joy is so accommodating to her students. If you miss a lesson she will try to get you in for a makeup lesson sometime during that same month. I love the way she figures out different fingering if you are having trouble with the fingering that is indicated in the book. And the way she helps you work through problem areas of the piece. Best piano teacher ever!!!!

Hi my name is Kelly. I'm a senior in high school and I have taken lessons from Joy for around 7 years. I've been taking an hour lesson once a week and love every second of my lessons with her. She is such a fun, enthusiastic teacher who genuinely loves what she does. As a student in high school, I don't have a lot of time to practice outside of my lessons, but Joy is always understanding and encouraging in all of my endeavors, whether it be related to piano or not. Joy uses a piano curriculum that not only teaches you how to play the piano, but also makes you fall in love with music.
My experiences with Notes Of Joy Music and Joy as my voice and piano teacher has been nothing but fantastic! I couldn't recommend her enough!

Our 3 daughters have been taking piano lessons with Mrs. Rdzak for 5years/1year respectively. With a family discount, the fees are reasonable. It has been a great experience for them and we plan on continuing to the highest level. Individual, private lessons (including virtual instructions during the peak period of Covid-19) is done first class. I am a parent who knows little about piano, but we have noticed our girls increasingly playing better and better due to more familiarity with knowing their notes and techniques. Ms. Joy also teaches them theory which is so helpful.
One more thing, Mrs. Joy is very kind and friendly to her students treating us like her family. We gladly recommend her.

I love this instructor. Always a smile on her face and a great personality. When I am stuck on part of a song, she always has a helpful hint to get me through the rough spots. I have seen her work with the kids and she is so considerate of their individual needs. You can really tell that she loves her job. For those of you interested in taking piano lessons, either for yourself or your kids, I recommend “Notes of Joy Music". My kids, a boy and a girl, have done piano lessons and find Ms. Joy is very good! Collectively, my kids have taken piano lessons from Ms. Joy for over 3 years and it has done wonders for their development, and has essentially taught them to learn better, understand, and practice this foreign language (music). I am not musically oriented and my kids end up teaching me what the notes are and how to play them. Love that!
If you're an adult and are interested in joining or know of young children who may be interested, this is it! This is a great way to get your kids focused on something other than YouTube or playing video games. I highly recommend Ms. Joy as a teacher and so appreciate Notes Of Joy Music.
